The course provides a comprehensive examination of multiple terrorist dynamics that contributed to the explosion of terrorism in Africa. The course covers the post-September period through 2012.

This course explores a host of critical concepts (subnationalism, transnationalism, counterterrorism, Political Islam, Political Terrorism and other variables) that contributed to terrorism in the region. In addition, the course examines several major cooperative coalitions that have been created to deal with terrorist groups in the region.
